Start your IT career on the right foot with CompTIA A+ certification. Earning A+ certification demonstrates that you possess the skills necessary to support enterprise IT infrastructures. This CompTIA A+ training course provides foundational knowledge of today’s most relevant technologies, so you can confidently conduct the tasks necessary to maintain your organization’s IT environment.

In addition to preparing for the CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1001) and Core 2 (220-100-2) exams — required for CompTIA A+ Certification — this training provides the skills to install, configure, and optimize personal computer hardware and operating systems. This course also includes a CompTIA A+ EBook, practice assessment questions, short video clips and examples and exam vouchers.

Attend this CompTIA A+ training in one of three formats - live, instructor-led, on-demand or a blended on-demand/instructor-led version.

You Will Learn How To:

  • Prepare to pass the CompTIA A+ 220-1001 and 220-1002 certification exams
  • Apply tools and troubleshooting techniques for PCs and laptops
  • Configure and optimize personal computers and laptops
  • Evaluate Windows configuration and upgrading options

  • Core 1 and Core 2 Exam Topic Focus

    The Core 1 exam focuses on hardware, network, laptop and mobile troubleshooting. New (or expanded) topic domains in this exam include Virtualization and Cloud Computing.

    The Core 2 exam focuses on Operating Systems (including expanded coverage on MacOS and Linux), Windows maintenance and troubleshooting, Security and Operational Procedures. The Core 2 exam features increased emphasis on computer security and introduces a new section on Change Management.

  • Course Timeline Note

    With the latest revision of the CompTIA A+ exams (Core 1 and Core 2), a significant amount of new content has been added. As a result, CompTIA’s recommended timeline for the (Theory + Labs) version of the new course is 10 days.

    To meet our 5-day course window, we will be using CompTIA’s alternate (Theory-only) 5-day timeline. Chapter assessment practice questions will be included during the course, and students will need to use hands-on labs and video clips outside of class hours. The hands-on lab environment will be available for 90 days following the class.

We are excited that Learning Tree now offers a deferred direct bill payment option for Booz Allen employees. The deferred direct bill payment option enables employees to enroll in learning opportunities with no upfront costs. This payment option will require the employee to sign a Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) agreement with Learning Tree to release grades/completion to Booz Allen to satisfy the FlexEd Program completion requirement. Note, Learning Tree may also be used for the FlexEd Program reimbursement payment option.
